Philosophy

I express the imaginations that opposite sides of elements consist and balance of "negative and positive" "stillness and motion" that is a meaning expressing in the biggest amplitude from the pole to the pole.

Expressions of the biggest amplitude mean to express in every freedom.

「陰と陽」「静と動」つまりは極から極へと、一番大きな振り幅で表現していくという意味で、
2つの相反するイメージを用いて表現しています。

一番大きな振り幅で表現していくということは、ありとあらゆる自由な表現でもって という意味です。

About Akiko Tsurusaki

I am Akiko Tsurusaki, an artist and designer from and based in Japan, have been working as an independent artist since January 2011.

In 2021, I won the grand prize at the "Finlayson x FELISSIMO Textile Design Competition" and my awarded patterns were released as a part of 2022 SS home textile collection by Finlayson.
I established my brand "JOY.AKIKO" in 2023.

I had experienced in my earlier carrier on planning and advertising design for a Japanese leading retail company, Aeon Mall and on a fashion magazine design for women in Japan since my graduation from a graphic design vocational school in Japan.

My style in creation is unique and attractive patterns with various methods and techniques of especially collages, painting with watercolours, pencils, and so on.

I believe that my creations bring you and people creative and optimistic worlds.
